From one Little League dads' game on Long Island to 45,000 players across the country — the league that gave grown men their game back. Celebrating 39 years in 2026.
In 1985, Steve Sigler was coaching his sons' Long Island Little League team when he organized a game for the dads. That single game, he says, "ignited the spark to play baseball again." But he couldn't find an organized adult league anywhere — so he placed a small ad in the local newspaper looking for guys his age who wanted to play. The response was enough to form four teams in 1986.
In 1988, Sigler formally founded the Men's Senior Baseball League, running it out of his Long Island home to give adults a real way back into the game — full nine innings, wood bats, official rules. It struck a nerve. Word spread, leagues formed, and Sigler established the MSBL/MABL World Series and the Fall Classic, giving local teams a national stage.
Today MSBL/MABL is the premier amateur baseball league for adults 18 and older and the fastest-growing adult baseball organization in the country — with leagues not just across the United States but in Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, and Australia.

The MSBL/MABL World Series launches in Arizona on MLB Spring Training fields, soon joined by the Fall Classic in Florida. Over 30 regional tournaments follow in leagues nationwide.
MSBL begins its national charitable effort — over $300,000 donated to good causes in the years since, most recently through the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
325 affiliates, 3,200+ teams, and 45,000+ members in leagues across the US, Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, and Australia — the largest and fastest-growing adult baseball organization in the nation.
MSBL/MABL offers far more than just games — it's a full baseball experience with competitive structure, national opportunity, and a community built to last.
Full nine innings, real rules, real competition. No slow-pitch, no softball — hardball the way it was meant to be played.

Local league players can qualify and compete in the World Series and Fall Classic — on the same fields where MLB Spring Training happens.
Divisions from 18+ to 80+ mean you're always competing against your peers — fair, competitive, and meaningful at every age.
Sanctioned games, umpired by trained officials. MSBL enforces rules designed to keep the game safe and competitive for adult athletes.
MSBL leagues have contributed over $300,000 to charitable causes, including the Tunnel to Towers Foundation supporting first responders and military families.
With over 325 local affiliates across the country and beyond, there is almost certainly an MSBL league near you. We span every major US market and have taken the game international.
US markets include: Atlanta · Boston · Chicago · Dallas · Denver · Houston · Los Angeles · New York · St. Louis · San Francisco · Washington DC — and hundreds of other cities, towns, and regions coast to coast.
Playing in an MSBL league is more affordable than most people expect. In most leagues across the US, a full team can field a season for less than $15 per player per game — a small price for a full nine-inning game on a real diamond with umpires and official scorekeeping.
Typical MSBL seasons run approximately 20 regular-season games plus playoffs. Teams pay registration fees to their local affiliate league, which covers field rental, umpires, balls, and administration. Individual players split costs with their team.
