2025 MSBL/MABL World Series · Phoenix Metro, Arizona
The Milwaukee Rangers claimed the 2025 MSBL World Series 55+ Cactus Division title in one of the tightest championship games of the entire tournament — a 1–0 pitching duel that wrapped up in just one hour and 45 minutes from first pitch to final out.
Championship game MVP Mark Holzman delivered a masterful complete-game shutout, never allowing the Rochester Red Wings to mount a threat. His command and movement kept Rochester off-balance for nine innings. Tournament MVP Matt Sanfelippo capped a standout week by hitting .556 — 20-for-36 — to pace Milwaukee's offense across the bracket.
The lone run of the game came in the eighth inning. Jim Schmor led off with a single through the middle, and Jon Knudson entered as a courtesy runner. Jose Alba's spinning single advanced Knudson to third. With the game on the line, Al Albert lined a single up the middle to score Knudson with what proved to be the only run needed. Holzman handled the rest, setting down the Red Wings in the ninth to seal the championship.
