Father & Son Desert Champions

The Utah Pelicans claimed the 2025 MSBL World Series Father & Son Desert Division championship with an 8–4 victory over the Utah BSD — an all-Utah final that added a unique regional flavor to one of the most memorable divisions at the World Series. Two clubs from the same state meeting in the championship game made for an electric atmosphere among their shared fan base.

The Pelicans scored four times early to take command, while the BSD struggled to close the gap. Utah Pelicans' father-son duos worked together throughout the bracket, and in the championship their chemistry came through in clutch situations. The BSD stayed competitive — getting within a run at points — before the Pelicans extended the lead to four and held on for the title.

For the Utah Pelicans, the 8–4 championship win over a familiar rival carried extra meaning. Beating a club from your own state — players they knew, families they'd perhaps competed against in local leagues — made the World Series title that much sweeter. The Pelicans returned home as 2025 champions in the Father & Son Desert Division.
